WHAT DOES GOD WANT YOU TO DO IN 2018? By Anophrine D. Shirima.

If you are reading this, I have no doubt that many times you’ve celebrated one of the favorite holiday held during 01st January every year. We do have many holidays throughout the year. Most of them they are religious one. But during the first day of the first month each year, all people despite of their religion take their time to recognize something which is new in their life, ‘A New Year’ .  The way different people prepare themselves to show a sense of respect to the new guest differs, but at least every one; the rich and the poor, the healed and the sick, aged and young will be seen in a unique way, as an indication of appreciation to the wonderful opportunity.  However my intention is not to make funny stories about the guest of honor , I have been taught by mama that upon receiving the guest it is important to note that the guest will be around for some time, almost 52 weeks. ‘You have a lot to do as long as the guest is around’ , mama added.  In s...

TAKE STOCK OF YOUR 2017 GOALS. By Ruva Samkange.

December is around the corner. The last few months of the year seem to fly by and we seem to have that looming anxiety about 2017 goals we made at the start of the year. So, have you managed to tick off all boxes next to the goals? Or an even better question, do you still have the list? Should we still be making year long goals that we seem to forget by mid-January or should we go with the flow? Having goals and ambitions is not a bad thing at all. It empowers you and drives you more when you know what you are working towards. There is nothing like that feeling when you finally achieve that dream you've had for a long time, whether it's buying that car or getting a promotion at work. Goals are great and accomplishing them is even better. But what happens when you fall short of your own expectation, or even completely forgot what you wanted to do at the beginning of the year? Does this render the whole year meaningless? I don't think so! Right now is the right time to ...

4 .  DON'T GET SUCKED INTO DOING TOO MUCH  OUTSIDE OF YOUR CLASS. You need to be careful with this thing. It is better if you'll use all of your efforts to deliver the contents you have in the right pitch (class). Other small stuffs can be done outside the class but with care. This will help your students and you as well in achieving the goals that you've set.  ... BE THEIR BEST CHANCE TO BECOME SOMETHING GREAT. 5. STUDENTS SHOULD TALK MORE THAN YOU DO. This one is easy to forget, especially when you have so much to teach. There's the shift through though-try to focus much on what students are learning and how rather than what you're teaching. CHANGE IS THE END RESULT OF ALL TRUE LEARNING.

3. HELP OTHER TEACHERS. Because you’re going to need their presence, stay close with them. So much is beyond your control, and it is your relationship with your colleagues that will sustain you when you’re behind or confused . Don't focus so much on curriculum, instruction, and the students themselves that you neglect this part. If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.

"THINGS I WISH I'D KNEW ON MY FIRST YEAR OF TEACHING" by Terry Heick

Here is a lesson from a fellow tutor Terry Heick (+ other tutors). These important tips can be helpful to everyone of us with consideration that soon we'll be having our first teaching practice for this academic year 2017/2018. These tips will be posted in #sequence so as to ensure accuracy in grasping concepts from each part effectively. An outline of things to consider most has been provided. It is my hope that you'll find them helpful and delightful. For today the first two important issues to consider are; 1. PRIORITIZE-AND THEN PRIORITIZE AGAIN. The key is not to prioritize  what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.  You can’t save everyone. You can't do everything. Start by doing what's important. Don't spend your time with less important things for a particular time. Bare in mind that you can do anything but you can't do everything.  An activity might be of much important NOW but not later. So think of your priorities  ...
